Over the last couple of days I’ve been working on some designs for the flyers to hand out in the city. I decided to use The Prince Charles designs as a reference guide as they are so effective and yet so simple.
This is one of the weekly posters advertising a unique showing of a film of that “season” – usually they only show a film like this at one specific time if the film is part of a seasonal event, but most of their designs are like this. Simple, obvious and really effective; with just a single image from the film and white font with a drop shadow, it looks professional and slick. The layout is almost like a film poster – so they are very clearly targeting towards cinema goers.
I will add my designs for Top Gun once Lizzie (the marketing manager for the Savoy) okay’s my work – so hopefully within the next few days…(!)
